Opatija

Opatija is the largest town on the eastern coast of Istria. It is the most famous and elegant tourist destination on the Croatian Adriatic coast. The small Holy Trinity Church located above the harbour is the only remaining of three ancient graveyard chapels. The old cemetery park is an archaeological site for the Church of Saint Trinity from the 13th century. The church was built in Romanesque stlye with a portico (Istrian Lopica). According to sources it's the oldest church in the Kvarner Riviera.
