Medulin - Alba Chiara Beach

Medulin is a seaside town in southern Istria, extending around a shallow bay with a long and highly varied shoreline. Sandy, pebbly and rocky sections, small coves and belts of pine give individual parts of the coast different characters and create connected walks beside the sea.

Alba Chiara Beach lies in southern Medulin, on the coast east of Bijeca Beach. It is a sequence of pebbly and rocky bathing sections with small coves, jetties and pine shade, giving it a different character from Bijeca's long sandy shore.

A coastal path behind the beach links the hotel district with the eastern side of the bay. The shallow, generally calm water opens towards Medulin Bay, while the shore alternates between laid pebbles, natural rock and short concrete approaches to the sea.

The photographs show shaded paths, loungers, a blue jetty, a floating activity course, pedal boats and other small leisure craft. These features record conditions at the time of the visit; they do not establish that equipment is always available or that a particular service is currently operating.

Alba Chiara is a useful stage on a coastal walk between Bijeca and the more open shore of Pošesi. Its gallery remains separate from the nearby hotel because the beach is a destination in its own right rather than merely part of a hotel presentation.
