Medulin - Pošesi

Medulin developed around a sheltered bay in southern Istria, with the older settlement on its northern side and extensive visitor districts along the southern coast. Towards the south-east, more arranged bathing areas gradually give way to low limestone shores, small coves and open views towards the sea.

Pošesi is a coastal district on the south-eastern edge of Medulin, where the more arranged visitor coast gradually gives way to a low rocky landscape. It is not a single beach but a sequence of small coves, stone edges, grassy spaces and paths immediately beside the sea.

The walking route follows the water for much of the way and offers quiet views towards the open bay. Natural rock, small pebble access points, shallow coves and reinforced shoreline sections alternate along it. The photographs clearly show pale limestone ridges beneath the water and the irregular shape of the coast.

Holiday units, accommodation buildings, lawns, play equipment and outdoor showers stand behind the shore. Because ownership or management cannot be established reliably from the images, these structures are described neutrally and are not attributed to the nearby hotel or campsite. Their current access and operation are likewise not assumed.

Westwards, the coastal route connects with Alba Chiara Beach and then Bijeca Beach. Pošesi is better understood as a place for walking, open views and small rocky bathing spots than as one long, uniform beach.
