Istarske toplice are located in the valley of the river Mirna in the northwestern part of Istria. They are a thermal spa and recreation center, located in the middle of lush green nature. Nearby is the famous settlement of Motovun, which has preserved its picturesque medieval appearance.
In written sources, the spa is mentioned around the year 400. Modern spas with international recognition, however, became in 1904 when they made the first facility. Istarske toplice experienced great development after 1970, when they built a hotel and hired professional medical staff. The Istarske toplice health resort has 350 beds, two apartments and 48 modernly equipped beds, which are located in a new building with four stars Saint Stephen. Istrian spas use a healing source of mild radioactive water, which contains about 14 different minerals, mostly sulfur. The mineral water springs below an 85 meter high rock and has a temperature of up to 36 degrees Celsius at the source. The giant rock above the spa is a picturesque natural landmark that can be seen from afar. You can climb it along a well-kept footpath and then enjoy the beautiful views of the spa and the surrounding area. Within the spa there is a modern medical wellness center, which covers about 1500 square meters. The center offers guests a 25-meter pool, children's pool, various types of saunas, relaxation and massage rooms and a fitness studio.
In addition, they offer a wide range of wellness packages designed to reduce stress, improve health and provide relaxation. In addition to the indoor pool and outdoor pool, guests can enjoy a variety of other activities - playing mini golf, five-a-side football, handball, table tennis, cycling and walking.
