Lovran is a village on the Opatija Riviera, on the east coast of Istria. It is located on the eastern slope of Mount Ucka, not far from Opatija. It is a place with a rich past and a long tourist tradition. It got its name from the laurel tree that grows in and around the place itself.
It represents the center of the municipality of Lovran, which belongs to the Primorje-Gorski County. The Mediterranean city is characterized by typical narrow streets and houses that are built next to each other. A picturesque coastal promenade runs from Lovran to Opatija, which is very popular among visitors.
