Lopar is a popular tourist village on the island of Rab, which is about twelve kilometers from the town of Rab. The place is known for its outstanding natural beauty and picturesque sandy beaches along the heavily indented coastline.
Local residents are engaged in tourism, agriculture, animal husbandry and fishing. Lopar is surrounded by many islands and islets, such as Goli otok, Grgur, Lukovac and Skoljic. Lopar has many sandy beaches, three of which are nudist - Ciganka, Sahara and Stolac. Stolac beach is located in unspoiled nature, just a 10-minute easy walk from the tourist resort of San Marino. Bathers can enjoy themselves on the sand or on the rocks without swimwear. There is a small island near the beach, which can be reached by walking across the water. Ciganka Beach is a nudist beach on the northern side of Lopar, which faces the island of Krk and Grgur. It can be reached on foot or by car, which is left in the parking lot in the shade of the trees and then walked for the last 100 meters. Bathers can sunbathe on the sand or on the rocks. Ciganka beach is known for many unusual natural forms. Sahara beach is the most famous nudist beach in Lopar.
It is located close to Paradise Beach, but still far enough away to provide an escape from everyday life. After about half an hour of walking along the marked paths, you can enjoy unique views of the landscape. The beach is sandy and surrounded by bushes that provide some shade on hot summer days.
