Kamenjak or Straza is the highest peak of the island of Rab. At the top there is a wonderful view of the town of Rab, the Lopar peninsula, Velebit, Goli otok, Dolfin, the islands of Pag and Krk.
It is located on the northeastern edge of the Rab plateau, in the area where the ridge begins to descend abruptly towards the sea. Kamenjak (408 m) is located above the village of Mundanije, not far from the town of Rab. The top can be accessed by hiking trail or by car. A fairly narrow and partially paved road leads to the top. There is a restaurant on the plateau below the summit, where they offer a wide range of dishes and refreshments, as well as a wonderful view, which is especially beautiful at sunset or sunrise. At the top of Kamenjak stands a telecommunications facility to which a freight cableway led. Today it is unused and abandoned. The stamp is located on the fence of the telecommunications facility. In the case of a hiking trip, the journey from the starting point in the village of Mundanije to the summit takes about an hour and a half. It is especially tiring on hot sunny days, so it is better to go early in the morning. The island of Rab is criss-crossed with many hiking and biking trails that allow visitors to spend their free time actively in addition to enjoying the beach.
Accommodation is possible in hotels of various categories, apartments, boarding houses, rooms, campsites and in the marina. The city of Rab is known for many cultural and historical attractions.
