Rogoznica is a small Mediterranean town located in the center of Dalmatia. The old town lies on the island of Kopari, which was artificially connected to the mainland in the 19th century. The most beautiful marina on the Adriatic, Marina Frapa, is located here.
The island is covered with a pine forest, which offers pleasant shade in the summer heat. In this part there is also a labyrinth of lavender, which offers walkers a pleasant relaxation. In the old town is the Church of the Assumption of Mary, which was built in the 17th century. Rogoznica with its more than 50 km long coastline offers a large selection of beautiful beaches. These are mostly pebble, concrete and natural rocky beaches. The most famous beaches are Sepurine beach, where the blue flag flutters, Miline beach, Gradina beach and Crljine beach. Gradina beach is a pebble beach located on the Rogoznica peninsula Gradina, not far from the marina Frapa. From the center of Rogoznica, the beach can be reached on foot with only about a 15-minute walk along the beach of the peninsula and across the marina. In case you arrive by car, the nearest parking lot is at the entrance to the Frapa marina, and there is only a few minutes walk to Gradina beach. The beach is reached by a beautifully landscaped promenade that runs along the entire peninsula, which makes this beach popular among lovers of active holidays. Gradina beach has a lot of natural shade and that is why it is extremely desirable on hot summer days, as well as because of the beautiful view of the marina and the neighboring island and the clear sea. The beach is surrounded by a pine forest, which together with white pebbles and beautiful sea creates an unforgettable experience. The fine gravel is ideal for the youngest, and the shallow entrance to the sea is suitable for non-swimmers. On the Gradina peninsula there is also the salt lake Zmajevo oko, which is a unique hydrogeomorphological phenomenon.
It is surrounded by cliffs that are 4 to 24 meters high and about 15 meters deep. The lake is popular with locals jumping off cliffs. Rogoznica is an ideal place for lovers of walking, cyclists, sailors and divers.
