Vransko Lake - Prosika Birdwatching Tower

The extensive reed beds and shallows of Vransko Lake form one of northern Dalmatia’s most important wetlands. The nature park lies close to Pakostane and not far from Biograd na Moru, while its birds and lake landscape can also be observed quietly on the southern shore at Prosika.

The Prosika birdwatching tower stands in the reeds north of the Prosika Information Centre beside Vransko Lake. A short walk along a gravel path and across a small bridge leads to the wooden tower, with the final section following the water’s edge.

The raised platform offers a broad view over the southern lake, shoreline vegetation and the Babin Škoj peninsula. Its quiet position is well suited to watching birds and the lake landscape while keeping visitors slightly above and away from the sensitive reed habitat.
