Vransko Lake - Prosika Fishing Harbour

Vransko Lake lies behind the narrow coastal belt of northern Dalmatia, not far from Pakostane and Biograd na Moru. Although it is now best known as a nature park and an important bird habitat, life beside the lake has also long been closely connected with fishing.

Prosika Fishing Harbour lies beside the Prosika Information Centre on the southern shore of Vransko Lake. Its small stone basin and jetties shelter local fishing boats, surrounded by reeds, shallow water and landscaped stone paths.

The harbour preserves the area’s long connection with lake fishing. Benches and shaded resting places stand nearby, while the jetties offer views towards the southern lake, the Babin Škoj peninsula and the birdwatching tower.
