Lapidarium - Coat of Arms of Austria-Hungary

Crikvenica’s lapidarium brings together architectural fragments and memorials preserved in the Kastel area.

The stone imperial coat of arms was installed after 1895, when Archduke Joseph of Habsburg purchased the former monastery and adapted it as a military health resort. Its crowned shield combines the arms of several kingdoms with the smaller dynastic Habsburg-Lorraine arms.

From here, Lapidarium at Hotel Kastel and Baroque Pauline portal are easily reached, allowing all three points to be combined in a short town walk.
