Trsteno Arboretum - Chapel of St Jerome

Trsteno is best known for Trsteno Arboretum, where garden heritage is interwoven with the architecture of a former noble estate. Smaller religious buildings are tucked among its avenues and clipped hedges.

The Chapel of St Jerome stands northwest of the Gučetić-Gozze summer residence. The simple rectangular vaulted building was erected in the 16th century as part of the country estate.

A small bell gable crowns its stone façade, while the garden path continues past the entrance between hedges and tall vegetation. The stucco altar and interior decoration date from the mid-18th century.
