Crikvenica - Ivan Mazuranic Promenade

The Crikvenica waterfront at Kastel links the old town, harbour and mouth of the Dubracina.

Ivan Mazuranic Promenade follows the eastern edge of the town waterfront. It begins beside the Dubracina and the bridge at Kastel, then continues past the old religious centre towards the beaches at Podvorska. Within a short distance, views alternate between the harbour, river mouth, church tower and open sea.

The most distinctive section is beside Kastel. Steps and crossings connect the waterfront with the Church of the Assumption, the former Pauline monastery and the small park around the historic complex. On the seaward side, modest bathing platforms and Kastel Beach lie below the walls.

This is primarily a connecting promenade, not a park. In only a few minutes it brings together several faces of Crikvenica: the old centre, river mouth, boat moorings and bathing shore. Southward it continues towards Podvorska Marina and Podvorska Beach; in the opposite direction it returns to the town harbour and main square.
